Flows is the first italian independent platform for worldwide distribution of digital content to computers and mobile phones.Flows helps create a personal catalogue of music, video and other digital content while eliminating a consistent amount of research time in great archives. Once the channels, the artists or the authors have been chosen, one may decide what to be updated on via the links and RSS feeds selected by labels, editors or directly by the users. Flows kicks off with lots of music. But not only.
We distribute content on behalf of some prominent Italian publishing houses and many products from independent partners, small labels and very small editorial projects. The whole music catalogue is DRM free. All content is released with a “dual mode” license that allows to use it both on “fixed” and “mobile” devices. Users may keep 3 copies of each file: 2 executables, for instance, may be kept on the PC and the mobile phone and a third one maybe stored as backup copy (on CD, Flash memory or other backup hardware). For those partners who decide to publish, there are no costs. The business model is the revenue share.
Having started from a mobile-phone-only player, Flows now supports the dual-delivery of the whole catalogue, both on mobile and fixed networks, together with many useful features such as RSS feeds, the possibility to collect links and the connection to the world of social media.
